I believe that most people have within them the innate capacity to heal, develop and grow, given a safe environment and a therapeutic alliance that supports them in uncovering and clarifying issues that impede their progress.  I work collaboratively with clients from a place of empathic listening and reflection, as well as humor.  While psychodynamic, humanistic and family systems theory inform my approach, I also have an interest in shamanistic practices. 

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oregon, and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).  I hold a Masters Degree in Counselor Education from Portland State University.
